Questions, problems and bug reports
Write to [email protected]. Tell us which phone and browser you're using and what you were doing when it went wrong — that usually saves a round trip.
Aftertaste keeps your diary on your own device and nowhere else, which means nobody can read it and also that nobody can recover it for you. Use the export function in the app's settings every so often and keep the file somewhere you won't lose it — a cloud drive, an email to yourself, anywhere.
Export the file on the old device, transfer it however you like, then open Aftertaste on the new one and import it. There is no account to sign in to, so the file is the only thing that carries over.
The app's settings have a delete option that wipes the diary from the device. You can also clear site data for getaftertaste.com in your browser's settings, or simply uninstall the app. In every case the data is gone for good, so export first if you might want it back.
The usual causes are clearing browser data, using a different browser than the one you logged in, or opening the site at a slightly different address. Aftertaste lives at getaftertaste.com/app/ — a bookmark or the installed app icon will always take you to the right place. If you have an export file, import it and you're back.
Aftertaste is a general wellness tool. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. It shows you patterns in your own records so you have something concrete to discuss with a doctor or dietitian. If you are unwell, see one.
